I won $3000 at a Trail Blazers game right before Christmas. The have this thing called the 50/50 raffle. Half the revenue goes to charity and the holder of the winning ticket gets the other half.
That was pretty cool. Got to see my name on the scoreboard, and everything.

My buddy got drunk one time at a "Last Ticket" type raffle one time, $2000 dollar prize. He was really enjoying himself but not completely gone. Got down to the last two tickets, him and another guy. Someone that represented the raffle came over and asked him if he wanted to stop and just split at this point. He wasn't in full listening mood and his situational awareness had gone to like 0. But he was like "Hell Naw - keep that barrel Rollin" They pulled the winning ticket and he went up there all Kenny Powers style.
Right past the kid in a wheelchair he just beat out....
He ain't made it back to that banquet yet.

I've won a gift basket
A weekend get away to Biloxi with lodging, casino voucher and dining
A BMX bike when I was like 10
$100, that one doesnt count because it was for a $10,000 drawing and the ticket was $100
I do know a fella who was in a frat at USL. They printed tickets for a raffle but didn't give out any prizes.

I like the raffle tickets that are 100% donations. I once won a big CC's coffee gift basket for the price of two $10 raffle tickets. Had I not won, I wouldn't have minded because I had the mindset of donating instead.

I went to a UL-Lafayette baseball game once years ago. Each game, they have a "50-50 raffle" where fans buy tickets in hopes to win the cash that night.
So I thought, "what the hell, I'll buy a few", and I bought 5 tickets. They announced the winning ticket, and it was literally the first ticket I bought. I won $677 bucks.

I've won ice chests and I may or may not have won several guns in the past few years at DU/CCA banquets.

At a bar across the tracks in Hammond 94 won a trip to Panama City 4 nights, $1000 cash up front, Miller Light cooler filled with all the Miller shirts, hats and stuff. Took 11 other people down there in a convoy, tore the place up and got kicked out before we even spent the first night. Had to go stay with 4 other people at another place. The inevitable happened. Kicked out next day then slept on the beach or not at all for the next few days.
Then right before we left, 4 of us who could stay another night went for a walk on the beach looking for straglers and found a wallet with about $700 in it and stayed 2 more nights. Man, being 21 and going to Spring Break with a couple of sheets of window pane was fun. I appreciate that moment in time right now

I won a $1,000 scholarship for having a Troy State tag on my truck in college. We didn't have to pay to enter the drawing but ok Alabama you already pay an extra $50 for specialty plates and that money goes to the school. They drew my name at a football game that I didn't go to because it was flooding and I was sick. Took my picture behind my truck showing the tag, and me receiving a check from someone in the administration.
I also know the guy who won a rifle last year at this big sportsmans blast thing at our church. That is one of those must be present to win things because they don't charge to enter it. Door prizes is more like it. You pay $12 and you get a meal and entered to win things like a scope, a rifle, or a trip somewhere.

In the late 70s my day won DU shotguns 3/4 years. It looked suspicious as hell. (I've still got two of the shotguns.) My wife once won a ski trip to CO, the only thing I've personally won was some kind of firepit/cowboy grill that I forgot about and never picked up.

I've won a shotgun before in one and a signed Matt Ryan jersey in another. Both within the last few years
And I got "chosen" in my office's Dirty Santa game this year, which was basically a raffle

I won a few hundred dollars from a school raffle once. IIRC, the school had to set it up with some kind of license from the state to make it legit.
And back when my husband and I were first dating, my cousin was selling tickets for a raffle on a Browning 12 gauge shotgun. My mom knew my husband (boyfriend at the time) hunted, so she bought two $1 raffle tickets--she put my brother's name on one and hubby's name on the other. Husband's ticket won, so my mom gave him the gun. My brother was like, "Really Mom? You barely know him!" (He's long since gotten over it--brother & husband are now good friends.)
She made a good choice, because my husband will keep that gun until he passes it to our son, whereas my brother probably would've sold it a long time ago.
