re: Workout bros - is it bad to target arms & shoulders in back-to-back days?

I agree. Targeting arms is pretty dumb unless you're a body builder. Arms get enough work if you're doing the right lifts.

Eta: pullups and dips aren't "arm work' though.

True, they aren't isolation exercises. However, they are both very highly recommend for building up your arms.
