but in no way can an average person just step out there door and run a 19 min 5k

I did grow up running both track and XC, so I have it figured out. What it comes down to is some people are just natural athletes and some are not.

I never said an average person should be able to run that, but an average person should be able to run at least 10 minute miles unless they are old or fat
