Who needs something to help them sleep either every night or almost every night?

The sleep cycle thread got me thinking. How many adults fall asleep naturally?
As a child I slept fine but now I find myself taking 10 mg ambien almost every night. I really wish I didn't need it but a sleepless night is horrible

I usually take melatonin unless I'm drunk.
Idk if it helps tough...I fall asleep quickly but I rarely sleep through the night without waking up once or twice.

Ambien didn't work for me. I take Klonopin and Seroquel and will stay awake the entire night without the Seroquel
The Klonopin just makes it easier to fall asleep

I sleep in the daytime, but up until the past half a year or so, I've been able to fall asleep naturally.
Considering starting to take something, though. Working nights and wifey's rotating shift schedule is catching up to me in the ability to fall asleep department

I need some sort of back round noise...tv, something. I usually find a documentary on youtube or something and fall asleep listening to it. Hard for me to do silent.

I keep liquid benedryl and melatonin by the bed. I don't think they work very well for me

I've taken 10 mg ambien nightly since 08

Neither works for me. Seroquel is the only thing. But it comes with a lot of negative side effects and most people would be a complete zombie on it

I do this a lot.
Actually, only times I don't fall asleep listening to something in the background are when wifey comes to bed with me.

The unisom that's not benadryl, doxylamine succinate is much more effective

I'm a pharmacist and I've actually never heard of a dr prescribing seroquel purely for sleep. Then again, when I see a seroquel script I don't always know what he's giving it for.
Typically its an anti psychotic but Drs use many drugs for off label uses all the time. Sometimes when I talk to a patient who is crazy I can tell what the seroquel is for lol

Melatonin and noise. I cannot sleep in silence.

This is me. Even when I work, I need a radio on or something.
A lot of people don't understand why this doesn't distract me even more, but it helps me do what I want to do.

I work nights. Sleeping during the day is rough. I often use foam ear plugs and a sleep mask.
It helps when the neighbors are mowing their lawn or their dogs are yapping all day.

I've read lots of people being given 25-50mg for sleep. But that's on a psych meds forum
I take 300 but I'm bipolar
Just read the crazy part. Ha. Ha.

Not with me, I can get about 7 if I take enough 1mg. Only problem is running out. Then I'm up for 5 days strait if I'm cold turkey'd.
