Max Lagers would be a good option, just not sure how easy it will be to fit 18. Stats as someone else mentioned is pretty average bar food but you can definitely get 18 in there for that price range. Varsity would be the easiest thing to do but I'd Google it and see if that type of dinner is what you want. You could always feed the girls cheap varsity food then go do your own thing. You can't walk there from the omni tho.
There isn't a ton of good options within walking distance of the omni but a mile away in west midtown has a ton of great stuff. Six feet under would be a really good spot to go based on what you wrote but with 18 people depending on the time and night you are going to have to wait at least an hour.

Please don't go to the Varsity. Stats and max lagers are good recs for regular American food.
If you're willing to take a short cab ride, the options are endless. Mary mac's tea room on ponce is a landmark Atlanta restaurant. No Mas cantina would be great for a large group with kids.
Look up places in midtown and west midtown. Lots of good options.
