That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There are no "positions" on a baseball field.

If I want to play with 4 outfielders and no second baseman, then that's what I'll do.

I should be able to put 7 guys in left field if I want to.

Teams do that sometimes--in reverse. Bottom of the 9th, tie game, bases loaded, one out...they play with 5 infielders and 2 outfielders.
