CAD, you can get any good brand french door, bottom freezer fridge for that $2,000 budget. I got an LG for my new house with all that stuff, a separate smaller freezer drawer and the water/ice in the door for like $1700 at Costco during Black Friday.

Frigidaire and LG are some good brands. I think Kenmore is the Sears brand and even Samsung is getting into the mix. You really can't go wrong, it's a fridge.

i have a kenmore elite now that i'm leaving with the house (more than likely) which has been rock solid.

i just dont want to make a mistake this time around buying a brand that doesn't hold up as well.

I just found out 2 things in my research:

A. Whirlpool patented the 'measured fill' feature which I love..set the amount of water you need in oz or cups and push a button to get that exact amount so that explains why 12 years after I bought a fridge with that feature..none of the new ones I'm looking at show that option.

B. The current Kenmore Elite fridge I own is clearly a Whirlpool model because it has that feature.

I see a whirlpool with EXACTLY what I want for around $1800 at sears. Why the hate on Whirlpool? I've not had any trouble out of my current fridge and I've owned it for 12 years.

This one has 447 reviews at Sears that seem positive.
