LOL. Jennings completed 50% or less 6 times this year and couldn't be pried off the field with a goddamned crowbar. He completed more than 60% of his passes ONCE!!!!!

Is anyone arguing that Jennings was good last year? Not sure what your point is.
He's arguing, I think, that if Jennings sucked so bad at passing, which we all agree, then WTF was he even doing on the field? If the QB was going to hand off the ball or run the ball in a QB option, why not give it to the guy who has better running skills and could actually be a threat Passing (even if you are just trying to fool the defense)?

Jennings was absolutely NO THREAT to do anything this year, and defenses just pinned their ears back. We were the easiest team in CFB to defend this year, blatantly transparent and unimaginative.

Perhaps our offensive strategy could use a little big more creativity, deception, and progressive thinking. That's not too much to ask for a supposedly "TOP 5" program (which we really are not) with coaches getting paid millions of dollars a year.

I think you need to accept the real possibility that Harris was not capable of successfully executing the running game. He wasn't able to identify the fronts and get LSU into the right running play at the line like Jennings was.

We all know what Jennings was. But, what you choose to ignore is what this team was without a running game. It was the team against Arkansas...a disaster.

In other words, there was no solution. We were either going to have a QB who is limited in the psasing game but capable of executing the running game...or a QB who is an obviously talented passer who while being a very talented thrower, couldn't handle the protection calls in the passing game nor the adjustment requirements of the running game.

Think back to the game prior to MSU. Everyone was bitching about us not "developing the passing game" and instead just running the ball against a clearly inferior defense. In hindsight, I think our coaching staff knew that we were going to have problems in the passing game. And, they were trying to get the running game going because we were a lot more likely to be dominant in that phase of the game (Remember that early in the season, we weren't a great running team).
