I really wished I lived in BR so that I could support this team every home game. If we play with that defensive intensity, especially the guards, then we will be tough to beat.
Hornsby, Gray, Quarterman, and Patterson really did play great perimeter defense...closed out on their man before he could get a good look. Even when they raised up for a shot, it was contested.

Those two free throws were nothing but net. No doubters.

There are some billboards around Baton Rouge up for LSU Hoops. They send out emails, and have the radio shows. I don't exactly know what else they can do...
There is SOOO much more they can do. But its good to see they are doing some things i guess. I havent seen any billboards but i dont really look at those too often.

Serious question for those bitching about the lack of marketing, what the hell else are they supposed to do?
I get an email 1-2 a week from LSU sport telling me what is going on that week. The coaches show is not only on the radio, but is also on TV. I'm sure that if fan goes to just about any LSU related website you will see something about basketball.
People who follow LSU sports know it is basketball season. It comes at the same time every year. IMO, the success of the football and baseball team has "spoiled" the fanbase. They essentially refuse to come to any games unless their team highly ranked or considered a national power. Plus, for some fans it is apparently very difficult for them to "focus" on two sports at the same time. (see all the "it's football season" or "baseball starts in X days" post when people talk about basketball on here)
Now to be fair, the basketball program hasn't held up its end of the bargain either. Over the last 5 years it seems like every time the team starts to build a little momentum they stub their toe. That happened this year already against Mizzou.

Even for football you feel they could do more...like fronting a campaign for mathieu or peterson for heisman. Instead they just release a hype video.

Huge road win! Let's take care of Aggie at home on Saturday and maybe crack the top 25.

Oklahoma did lose to West Virginia Tuesday. I'd like to think that the loser of the Okie Lite/Oklahoma game may get bounced out the top 25.
If #16 West Virginia beats #20 Texas this weekend I could see them dropping out as well. Texas would have 3 straight losses.
LSU will be borderline. I'd love to see the Tigers break into the top 25 this week.

Good call. There's a lot of teams who could drop out. I watched that Oklahoma v West Virginia game and I still an't believe we got out of Morgantown with a win. Oklahoma looked totally lost against WVU's defense.

Replay on sec network. Getting to the last 5 of first half so it's getting good

Also wanted to point out that UGA won on the road at Vandy last night which is good. SEC needs them to play well. They had a good OOC run.

I watched the first half and Vandy looked terrible. I agree for sure.
