y'all have had an elite defense for years. Quite possibly your biggest problem defensively of late is that your players are leaving school early. Somehow, you are convinced that you haven't recruited well enough and that's what is holding you back

Now two thirds of your staff is gone. And you've replaced them with a guy that's been fired from a similar position 3 times and a guy that was collecting unemployment checks for the last year.

And your takeaway is that you are better off?

Why not? Thats seems to be the attitude of all the ATM fans on the secr. It couldn't be more obvious that you and yours are mad.

Chavis was a good coach for us but 3rd and chavis is real and his prevent d is real. So too is the fact that he does not blaze the recruiting trail.

He wasn't our savior nor will he be yours.

Move along cause we have.

fair enough.. but..

15 players who can leave early will win more games than 7 players who can leave early.

your biggest problem defensively "of late" is that you can't play defense.

Maybe Chavis will change the entire culture at A&M. And maybe Steele and O will do the same.
Or maybe not. But we'll still be better off than A&M.

I'd still rank as
Shoop/O
Chavis/O
Pendergast/O
Steele/O
Chavis/Haley

Then why has our linebacker and dline production fell off the last few years. There has definitely been a little decline on that side of the ball lately. Our defense has been good but could've been a lot better if Chavis could hold his own weight with recruiting. Linebackers have been the weakest spot on the defense recently and that is the Chiefs "specialty". I love how you little Aggies that think you know more about us than we do.

We've slipped in DL (DT particularly) and LB recruiting.

I'm a certified positiger and I'm underwhelmed by Steele because he has never produced anything like an outstanding defense.

On the other hand, Chavis was a liability in recruiting and his defense has lost some big ballgames over the past few years - particularly 2/3 of the Bama games since 1/9/2012. But we didn't fire him - he quit. If Steele is the best option - I'm hopeful for the best. Orgeron is an outstanding recruiter and DL coach.

Just like all of Miles' assistant hires - I hope this works out - I really do.

Chavis will be the death of Aggies. His style is not a good fit for fast paced offenses. Once again little brother, yall will get schooled.

we may have a guy that has been fired a few times but coach O most certainly wasn't collecting unemployment checks. you obviously don't know the story on why he wasn't coaching and have no clue as to his financial status. usc has been paying him lots of money.

you aggy's really should wait awhile before shoving chavis in our face. y'all always seem to make fools of yourselves predicting future events. for some strange reason you keep coming back for more.
