What would be the reasons Kirby Smart would make a lateral move to LSU? Serious question. What would he gain besides money possibly and that will be close if not the same to what he is earning now seemingly.

The opportunity to not work 18 hour days, to prove it's his defense, not Saban's. Maybe he knows Saban is hanging it up in the near future, and he's not in line to be the replacement. Maybe he just wants a change of scenery.

You would gain a life . Asst coaches who have coached under Saban say he is a perfectionist that demands 16 hour workdays from his staff .
