10 seems like a lot. That's 200 minor leaguers out of the pool. How do the teams that are bad off the start get better?

I think 8 minor league spots would be better. It still gives you about 5 position players and 3 pitchers.

Im in a league where 180 minor leaguers are rostered, and there are still decent prospects out there.

Trade for prospects.
Trade for better players with the prospects they have.
Trade draft picks to acquire pieces.

Any and all of those work.

That's the challenge. Everyone will have an equal opportunity to grab players to start off. A dyansty can be a slow moving beast. If a team misses on a bunch of players, they would need to trade players for young talent, draft wisely, or find the upcoming players that improve with age and become productive fantasy players. There will always be the competing/rebuilding cycles for teams, but having MLB and ML players separated keeps teams from completely throwing their season. The only way that happens is if the owner is a complete dipshit and we don't have any of those. I also have no doubts there will be beaucoup turnover due to trading as is usually the case in TD leagues.
