He is the guy they are using to get into a new country for additional eyes. Nothing special in my eyes, good striker, but the UFC has hand picked his opponents to increase his chance of success and have avoided giving him a fighter with any wrestling background (Most (not all) European fighters can't wrestle well) like their life depended on it.

He will have a hard crashing down soon, but apparently he has some fans that are excited by him.

He's an extremely versatile and dynamic striker. He's very unorthodox and it catches people off guard. I like that he's constantly evolving as a striker. His ground game is untested.

No. Poirier for example was not hand picked.

That fight for sure put McGregor on the map and showed he is for real.

Poirier had the most wins in the FW division at the time and was ranked number 5 FW in the world.

Personally, I think he's hilarious. He is amazing at talking, and hyping himself.

After talking so much, and saying what he says, his opponents are obviously affected. This really plays on a fan's curiosity, because they want to see if McGregor can back up what he says.

The fascinating thing about him is that he has, thus far. When he knocked out Poirier in the first round, after saying for months that he would, my jaw dropped. I was blown away.

He's a fascinating athlete.

Nope, not tonight.

Not next Saturday either.

And it's not on Fox.

Just for clarification

I like him a lot but its a load of shite if he gets a title shot without having to fight Edgar, Lamas or Mendes.

Most charismatic guy I've seen in Pro Wrestling or MMA since the Rock... and another MMA post really really wasn't needed
