He is a true freshman who isn't ready for the speed and athleticism of the college game. I think that's simply all it is. I don't understand how some of our fans expect every single player to walk in as a freshman and start throwing up solid stats.
People hated Quarterman last year, a part of the fan base said that he should never see any time and needs to transfer. Last year as a freshman he just wasn't ready to play college ball. This year he is one of our most valuable players.

15 yrs ago, people wouldn't be labeling Martin and Mickey as near-busts because they are still in college as sophomores, and look like they need at least another year to develop their games. You'd say they are showing plenty of promise, and anticipate they would have very bright college careers as they hone their skills. But today, there are rumblings because Martin isn't a 20-10 guy, and Mickey isn't consistently scoring more than 10 pts.
Same with Robinson- he's just a freshman. Hell, coach K said he would have redshirted Shaq as a freshman if he went to Duke. But it's a disaster nowadays if a guy actually has to redshirt; nobody comes to develop their game anymore. They showcase it now.
