So he is sooooo good at recruiting that no one could find a spot for him before now last year or this year where he wants to go?
I am not knocking him and I do think he would be a positive addition to the staff as a D-line coach and recruiter. I just do not see where he has the experience to be a Defensive Coordinator and why so many has the confidence that he could be a good DC.

Coach O has had opportunities since he left USC but he chose to take some time off. He did a hell of a job as the interim HC at So Cal, so why not give him a shot at DC?

Like I said, its likely not that no one could find a spot for him, just not one he actually wanted. And for the record, I'm not one of the ones hoping he is our next DC. I would love for him to be a part of the staff, though.
