Been many time, but it has been a little while. It's a very special occasion. 6 people.
I usually get crab salad and sweetbreads and/or a veal dish.
Any other rec's?
Any server to request, glassman?

I had the best and largest portion of lobster and mushroom risotto ever on Saturday night. Couldn't even finish the whole thing.

The risotto is very good, as are the scallops. As is the gumbo. The softshell is very nice, if on the menu.
But, can't help with server recs...my accent and 318 area code present me with no privileges.

Thank you guys.
318 is red blood...blue is required. It is also known as an Uptown Blue.

Hard to beat the crab salad and veal dishes.
All soups are usually good and I'm a sucker for the oysters with brie.
My standbys are the smoked duck or the smoked soft shelled crab, but two entrees that are nice to mix in from time to time are the Tuna au poive (sp?) and the lamb chops.

It's a very special occasion.
The sweetbreads are the best. Soft shell crab is amazing. It's all so good.

You're doing it right...
If you want to mix it up, do as others have said...oysters w/ brie & lobster risotto (can also get a 1/2 order if you want to do it as a side/app). I can never resist the Veal Annunciation...
Also if you're into bourbon, there's usually a bottle of Elmer T. Lee on the top right of the shelf above the bar...one of the few places in town to get it.

There are likely a few other good bottles of bourbon (Handy, etc) up there...and their scotch selection is out of control.
