Let the DC play out through next season before......

you start acting like know-it-all's, crybabies, pussies, irrational idiots, and the like. You incessantly criticize every fricking move that is made or not made. You bitch about who is being interviewed, who isnt, and who may be promoted. Do any of you assholes know what kind of DC Haley would be? You know absolutely nothing about his qualifications, readiness, or any other factors guiding this decision. You dont know who is a real candidate, who is using LSU for leverage, or even if the names floated out legitimate or fabricated to draw the attention of you simpletons away from what is really happening behind closed doors.
I, on the other hand, will not bitch about the DC hire, no matter who it is (unless its Peveto). I am rational enough to know that whoever the guy is, he is qualified. John fricking Gruden could be hired and we have the worst DC in the SEC, but you morons who jerk to him would be in love from day 1. I'm going to let this play out and save my judgement for when there is actual objective data to warrant a judgement. 80% of you need to get the frick off this board, and do it now. End rant.
**sticky this because it should be TD gospel

Real men wear their emotions on their sleeves.

Agreed, and we will be super young next year and probably have lots of holes to fill from early departures and a new quarterback.
I really think 2016-2017 this team could go
10-2 and get back to second place in the west.

this is entirely too much to ask

So, treat 2015, when we are loaded with talent, as an experiment with a DC that "may" be qualified? NO.

that is not what he said at all

I know that if miles was confident he could be the guy then he would likely have been appointed by now

read it again but this time comprehend it. Miles has worked with Haley for quite some time. Haley has been under Chavis for 6 years. If he is hired, then he will have been determined to be qualified by those qualified to make that decision.
Those not qualified would be one High C and his loyal yet simple minions

This is the rub. I'd love to have some minions.

you know that? When did Les tell you that? you dont know anything. Neither do I......except that none of you know anything either.
and think about what you said. Does an employer hire their 1st candidate even if they think that he/she is a great fit? I would hope not.
I employ 72 people. And when I interview someone, no matter how much I like them, no matter if my mind is made up, I do my due diligence and never leave a stone un-turned. Thats how it works in the land of grown ups

He was the DC at Baylor for 3 years. Fielded some shitty defenses, too. Granted, LSU is beyond the wildest comparison to what he was working with at the time, but it is a legitimate cause for concern.

I feel Miles is in deep trouble if he goes 3-5 in SEC play in 2015, given is last four years. Think about it, 8-0, 6-2, 5-3, 4-4 over the last four years.

Changed a few things. This is what scares the hell out of people.

wow, that is some serious research. So one stint on his resume is representative of everything we need to know also gives insight to any development he has had under Chavis? ok, good to know

people hit home runs......and then strike out at times. Did anyone ever assume that years into Barry Bonds' prime, when he would strike out, that he would never hit a home run again?
very poor example.

Nobody knows the future.

We know plenty about his qualifications. He is an average position coach that has seen DLU to it's worst days in over a decade. His Dline was responsible for the 46th ranked run D, being 103rd in sacks, and being 64th in TFL. Would you promote one of your 72 employees with numbers like that?

Indeed. Promoting Stud was a bad idea as well, though a different circumstance. What facts support that Miles promoting from within for a coordinator position will be a home run? We have 2 instances where it went bad. 0 where it went well. If Bonds was hitting .000 I would guess his home run days were over.

When was the last time you were legitimately impressed with the DL?
