It is not bringing a whole staff that is the issue but not being able to bring anyone- extreme loyalty to existing staff hampers the process

A staff that Miles views as having done nothing wrong. An assistant coach is always hired by the head coach- not the coordinator. Remember all the o-line coaches Can wanted to bring in last year? Me neither, that's because their weren't any. This decisions are made by the head coach & head coach alone. There isn't a head coach hin the country that's going to cede that kind of authority to a coordinator.

Think of the process that would be hampered if Les had to drop all the guys who've been recruiting for him... right at the end of the recruiting cycle. No bueno.
