Just saw this on Twitter.

We are all aware not everyone here is the biggest CLM fan but it's hard to argue the consistency he's brought our program the past 10+ years.

Let's give him a chance to right this ship, win another one, and leave LSU a better program than he found it

He deserves that chance

Y'all think it's cool that we had the SECOND most wins? That's loser mentality. I demand excellence not mediocrity.

3 national championships since 2009 is also pretty impressive.

I think we could schedule Lafayette High and Lee High and maybe Lake Charles High we could pick up 3 more wins

That is about the caliber of some of he folks we play and you want to act as if they are Notre Dame

Michigan consistently refers to itself as "the winningest program in college football history" as they have the most wins all time. I think that is a joke as they have only 2 or perhaps just 1 1/2 national titles. Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and several others have a much stronger claim to that title.

A great win loss record with little to no hardware is somewhat hollow. Les's idol Bo had a great win loss record but no national championships. That does not garner legendary status in my opinion. Is Marty Shottenheimer legendary?? A solid coach, but not on anyone's list of coaching legends.

Very good coaches win a lot of games over a long period of time and are considered to be of legendary status by most of their fan base (Beamer, Lavell Edwards, Jim Mora Sr., Hayden Frye, Bo, Les Miles, many more). The great ones and true legends win national championshipS!!!!!!!!

If Les gets us back to the top and wins another national championship, he will move into that elite group. Until then, he simply is not!

He deserves that chance. He will get that chance.

My prediction is that he will fail. Reason? His capabilities are not up to the task. He has limitations and weaknesses that will combine to cause him to fail.

That's my humble opinion/prediction. Coach Miles is a good man and a good coach, but, he's now past his glory days.

Miles has proven that he can take an 8-5 team and take the program to a national title game by the time the next bash of freshmen graduate. Let's do this. Geaux Tigers.

I am not a Miles-basher or hater, but I think those who are would also say we have the most "coulda-woulda-shoulda" -last-second- snatch-defeat-out-of-the-jaws-of-victory losses also:
2005 Tennessee
2007 Kentucky and Arkansas
2008 Alabama
2009 Ole Miss and Penn State
2012 Alabama and Clemson
2013 Georgia and Ole Miss
2014 Alabama and Notre Dame

And we've lost six of those in the last 3 years -2 in each year. The ones that sting the most are Bama '12 and '14.

I wonder what TD would've looked like during Denardo. This program has had sustained success and national attention for the last 14 years. Will there be dips in production and said success over that stretch...yes but there is a whole generation of new fan that has no idea what pre-Saban/miles was like. Most of them couldn't tell you the name of the coach before Dinardo.
If Miles is in a real decline and can't right the ship he will be fired and LSU will buy out the rest of his contract. Then hope we don't go the way of Tennessee since firing Philip Fullmer.
