Doesn't mean you should bash someone for trying.

My range with a compound bow is 45 yards. I know this because I shoot alot and I am confident at putting 10/10 arrows inside of about a 4" circle. I will not take a 55 yard shot because my circle opens up substantially beyond 45 yards. If someone is confident at 150 yards but iffy at 200, then they shouldnt take a 200 yard shot. The result is a wounded deer in this particular case. Of course sometimes shite doesnt work out, that's true with anything in life, but dont decrease the odds.

Why cant this be your observation for the OP and his scenario.

So, you have never missed or wounded a deer inside 45 yards? I know guys that tear up arrows at 45 yards and they have missed plenty, but they hunt a lot.

A deer can do a lot prior to the arrow arriving at that distance. If you are saying you are 100% confident on 45yd shots on a whitetail, you are either lying or delusional. Either way, from now on your comments should come with the disclaimer of "This is from the man who kills 10/10 deer at 45yds with my bow."
