Tangled feet on no pass interference calls

If I m the defender, why wouldn't I on the deep ball just trip him from behind everytime?

Tripping isn't tangling

Because it has to look incidental

Incidental or not, you stopped the offense from making a play.
Some of them when the DB and the WR are fighting for the ball and get tangled up, I understand but if a DB is trailing a WR and unintentionally trips him up that should be a penalty.

Isn't it hard enough for DB's already? Geez.

They'll probably institute a protected bubble area around WRs soon that the CBs can't encroach on, just like with punt returners.

I've seen it again today, twice.

Impossible to play DB the way some people want the game played.

I'll defend the defense as much as anyone, but this has happened quite a lot lately. It's one thing if you're running in a receiver's hip pocket and yal trip, but it's different when you're trailing and run up the receiver's backside and trip him.

Golden Tate had an easy TD on one of them..Lions settled for the FG.

If it's obvious you did it intentionally it's pass interference.
Basically, it's an extension of where it's not PI if you're looking at the ball.

You have to be pretty damn good to trip a guy at full speed and make it look incidental by looking at the ball.

About time they called one of these
Posted on 1/11/15 at 12:36 pm to castorinho
They called it on Green Bay. So much for your strategy.

Better question.. If i'm a WR why don't I run with the corner every time and tangle our feet up.

Why wouldn't you intercept it every single time?

I think it's easier to trip then try to intercept the ball.

To trip them, you would have to be so close to them that you could make a play on the ball anyways.
