Bob's Steak and Chop House is great. Fort Worth Stock Yards for some night life clean, The Lodge in Dallas for night life not so clean.

Go to Lockhart Smokehouse for best BBQ in North Texas and get in line early!! Those daily cut goods fly off the shelves.

Its in the Bishop Arts district and need to pay to park in all probability.

Baby Dolls is gross unless you're into Meth head chics with lots of random prison tatoos. If you need to visit the ballet in Dallas go to The Lodge.

For Steak... Bob's or DelFriscos

Del Frisco's WAS good but now its sorta beat up and dated. Service is hit and miss the steaks are great but they're great all over Dallas so pass on Del's unless you really want to sit somewhere with some solid 80's decor. Also people have been shouting 3 Forks at you - great food but again, very dated decor. It's right up the tollway from Del Frisco so if you're in that part of town, its a toss up. Personally I like Ruth's Chris better than all of them. The steaks are the same pretty much at all Dallas Steakhouses so its the sides that make the winner. Ruth's Au gratin pots and Au gratin Spinach is MONEY. IF you go to Bob's ONLY go to the one near downtown Dallas on Lemon Ave. The Bobs Steakhouse in Plano is WEAK at best, very mediocre and a shadow of the original location on Lemon. Check out Pappa Bros, steakhouse, its right off 35 and will be the closest to the Jerry World from all the other options thrown at you. It will be packed and probably booked due to the game so make a reservation soon - it's quite the popular spot.

Tailgating at Jerry World is very corporate and the total opposite of the greatness in tailgating you'll find in Baton Rouge. You can't tailgate in the grass around the edge of the parking lot and they try to corral everyone to one designated "tented" area. If I were you I'd go there and look for Oregon fans/alumni and join their tents. Otherwise Jerry wants to capture as much revenue from you as possible so they'll want you to go into the stadium to the party deck. If you have any friends at Nike I guarantee they are probably sponsoring a tent at Jerry World and it will be loaded with free everything including lots of shot girls wandering around wanting to get Ducks drunk. Get a pass to that if you can.

I live in Dallas and this guy speaks the truth, Bishop Arts rocks. Very cool area. Lockhart smokehouse is awesome but its a haul out of town, will take you an hour or more to get there. Parking at Jerry world is $$$. I think I paid around $80 when LSU dominated the Ducks there a few years ago ;-) Depending on where you stay your hotel might have a shuttle bus to the stadium... just a thought.

Meant to tell you one more spot/area to check out. Nick & Sams on Maple Ave in Uptown Dallas is balls out awesome. You'll probably run into Jerry Jones with one of this babes there, and or a few Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars, Rangers etc. Then within walking distance of Nick & Sams is a plethora of night life options - The Old Stoneleigh and Stoneleigh hotel are fun spots. It really depends on where you're staying as to where I'd guide you to go. Dallas is a BIG spread out MF'r so if you're staying in Arlington Id give you options out there instead of in the heart of Dallas.

Stay close and take a cab or shuttle. Traffic is as bad as BR. There's a bar that's close to the stadium that had tons of LSU fans when we were there for TCU game. Can't rem the name but I'm sure somebody will mention it.

Not sure when you went. I've only been once on LSU/TCU weekend. It was legit.

I'm from Dallas. If you have time, go to pecan lodge for lunch one day. You won't regret it. If you're staying in Dallas or FW and don't plan on driving to the stadium, uber is $100 flat rate to the stadium so find some people to ride with and split it. Best way to avoid the traffic is to hop on 161 from the northwest part of Dallas. It spits you out right on 30 where six flags and and the death star are and you avoid sitting bumper to bumper on 30. You can probably get there just fine but 161 is definitely the best way to get home.

Or there is the regular guy routine. The two games we went to we parked in one of the private lots along Cowboy Way. Some are the parking lot for restaurants. There are also several restaurants you can walk to after you park. Then, there is a hike to the stafium which is no longer then the walk I make to the stadium in Baton Rouge. Getting out of those lots after the game has been a breeze both times. The police have traffic control down to a science. The two different lots we stayed in were reserved lots so we purchased parking passes online before the game.

yea I saw this Saltgrass recommendation and pretended I didn't see it, hopefully the Oregon fan will to... Place is good but there's absolutely nothing special about it.
