Not a lock, they are favorites, his dad went to Mississippi State and schools like Kansas and Uconn are still outside shots. People thought Andrew Wiggins was a UK or FSU battle, so you never know.

Why does it seem everyone has all but forgot about Brandon Sampson? Yea, I like the idea of getting Blakeney and Newman, but Brandon is a hell of a guard and he's hometown. Plus, Melvin Frazier and Chad Lott are both really good players from here on the bayou.

I can't help but wonder if his interest in UCLA was due to the high level of players committed to LSU, or has he always been interested in UCLA over LSU. But, if it came down to a Sampson versus Blakeney choice, you really got to take Blakeney. Guy will be the best shooter off the dribble I've seen at LSU since Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (AKA Chris Jackson)
