According to Jameis, game could have gone either way

Said if you're real with yourself, you know this game could have gone either way. Oh, and apparently they went 1-1 last night because they beat themselves
I've compiled a list of Fla State games that could have gone either way this year.
Okla St
Clemson
Notre Dame
Louisville
Miami
Florida
BC
Ga Tech
Oregon, no. Most of those turnovers were forced and they couldn't stop the run. The guy next to Winston looked like he wanted to crawl under a rock when Jameis said "we beat ourselves".

Jameis says a lot of dumb things, and it's pretty obvious he doesn't have a filter. He probably should've just given Oregon their props and congratulated them on a great game.
...but I have to admit that I want a someone who never believes they've been beaten by a better athlete. That kind of thinking is what motivates the best athletes/musicians/scholars to perfect their craft.

One could argue that they beat themselves. It was a close game right up until they started turning the ball over. Turnovers are always a mix of ball insecurity by the offense and aggressiveness from the defense. Jameis just sees it as something they should've done better.
They certainly missed some opportunities. The game wasn't as lobsided as the score indicates.

Other than the 35 points on 5 turnovers, Jameis is right.

He said they beat themselves too
Regardless how many turnovers you don't say you beat yourself when you lose 59-20 and can't stop them

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall at Mrs McCarron's house during his presser

well that doesn't make any sense
whoever translated his comments must have got it backwards

I mean, Oregon had to carry and throw the ball, and didn't get turned over so I don't know about the turnover excuse. The way I see it, yes, if everything goes Fla State's way, then it may have ended kind of close, but that's not how football works. Oregon wore that arse out.

The validity of this statement doesn't really matter. This guy just doesn't get it. I will say, Jimbo seems to have zero problem letting the inmates run the asylum. Jameis displays the occasional glimpse of leadership (like consoling his true freshman teammate after fumbling a 2nd time). I wonder if the right coach/mentor could straighten this guy up. I'm curious to see his evolution in the NFL as much as I dislike him.

What a moron.
Reminds me of Aaron Brooks, who once said after the Saints were deep into their shitty 13 loss Katrina year season - "This is a championship football team"
