Verge Ausberry offered him the contract he balked at. He is the AD over Football. Alleva stepped in with amended language after Ausberry tripped over his d!ck.
But to be honest, I think Mils was ready to move on. Ausberry offered that contract with Miles' input. I think Hat had Verge do his dirty work. He was coaxed out and Alleva looks foolish. But this appears to be an insider job.
