The power I formation involves using three backs (usually two fullbacks) and two TEs.
LSU typically runs the Big I formation, which replaces the back with a WR.
Standard I formation involves two WR, one TE, and one FB.

no, that's big I/ 22 personnel (2 RBs/ 2 TEs). power I is 3 backs/ 2 TEs, with 2 backs in the I and one offset left or right.

You, Sir, are wrong!
"I formation" is the quarterback under center with a fullback and running back directly in line behind the quarter back. It may be run with 1, 2, or no TEs. The I formation has nothing to do with the number of TE, only the alignment of the backfield.
The "POWER I formation" utilizes 2 full backs. it looks like the I formation with 1 an extra fullback on either side of the normal fullback(behind either the right, or left guard).
ETA:
well apparently I was typing too long, and someone else already corrected him.

Doesn't matter what formation we run without a QB!

That's not the power I. The more I read this board, the more I'm amazed at the dumbass fan base.

2. rumors are the deal is 5 million per year for 6 years, not 8 million for 6 years.

We haven't used a tight end in a while. I wish we did because watching Arkansas throw to their TE and use the shite out of them all year long has been impressive.
