...Sonny and Shea have heard nothing of these rumor from "inside" LSU
Therefore, this is just a dumb rumor
Why would Chavis go to A$M where it much harder to defend because of the offense they run?
Why alienate a friend in Coach Miles?.. .Chavis loves Coach Miles and Chavis is a very loyal coach...
Change is not something he seeks and typically only makes moves if he is forced.

Well roger klarvin knows the guy that cuts grass at A&M. Who should we believe?

Not saying people can't change, but the Chief has coached at a grand total of 2 schools since 1989 (i.e 25 years). It would have been 1 school if Fulmer was still at UT. The man appears to put great value in stability. I can't imagine he would want to leave. Do I fault him for playing a little game (his agent that is) to see if he can get a pay raise....no. More power to him.

he was an assistant coach at UT for 19 years, and left because the HC stepped down. I'm sure teams came calling for him in HC jobs and other DC jobs.
Maybe he could leave but not much is pointing to it, other than he is putting off signing his contract, and there are many reasons that could happen (that has nothing to do with him maybe leaving for aTm)

I don't know Roger, but the whole idea of Chief leaving for A$M would be a shock.
Why would he do that?
He is getting paid 1.3 a year, when he came to LSU 5 years ago, he was getting 350k a year after 17 years at Tennessee.
LSU has shown him plenty love and respect so I don't buy any of this BS
If Chavis feels that way, then I say good riddance pal....He isn't the character guy we thought he might be.
But I think Chavis is a high character guy and like working for Coach Miles. He also likes the guys Miles helps recruit.

LOL at Chavis getting a call forwarded to Sumlin by some low level grunt.

Chavis is not going anywhere. I was riding with Coach Bags(my source) on Dec. 11th the day Chief got his contract. The ONLY reason he did't sign it was because it was only valid if Miles was coach. Since this conversation was thru the radio I heard every word. Since his contract does not expire until Dec. 2015 and at that time Miles to Michigan was possible he would have been a fool to sign it since he is guaranteed 1.3 million in 2015 with his current contract. I know for a fact Chief is looking forward to next year and LOVES LSU. The new contract was for 3 years at 4 million, a slight raise, with a 25% buyout. His agent may be using A&M as a way to get more money but Chief is going nowhere.
I think if they throw in a case of skoal it will be a done deal.
I can tell you if Miles was offered the Michigan job he would be gone and dispite most people not wanting him Jimbo Fisher would have been the new coach.

Maybe it has nothing to do with it I really don't know.
Chavis would be leaving a team who the next couple years will have potentially the best D in the country. (at-least top 10) to an aTm team who looks like a big 12 team on defense.
He coaches at a defensive school, with his friend, he has a history of sticking it in for the long hall, and a pretty nice contract.
the most I would believe coming from this is Chavis using this offer for some leverage to get a-little more money.

Who would miles tell this too that would not be trusted to not leak that info? Same with jimbo, adding to his side how it got all the way back to LSU people who would tell people?
Not doubting the chavis stuff, but that quote seems a little too intimate for anyone other than Les and Jimbo to know.

Why would Chavis be mad he doesn't want to be a head coach. Second no we wouldn't make Cam the head coach. Third we wouldn't move Wilson up to OC.
agreed and i call bullshite to the OP

I think it's a smokescreen. Why would he go to A&M? All of the key decision points favor LSU. Let's examine them:
Does he like key bosses?
- Head Coach
- AD
What kind of resources does he have?
- Recruiting landscape
- Facilities
- Money
Other factors
- Does he get the credit he deserves?
- How is his contract structured?
- Does the offense help him be successful?
Yep. All favor LSU. Nothing to worry about.
