They should never change gimmicks in between nxt and main roster. Dance with the girl you brought.

idk, i've heard they've toned it down, so thank god for that, but i guess we'll see soon enough :/

I hate already projecting this, but to me, unless you book them properly, The Ascension seem destined to fail. It's a case of bringing people up who probably get over bigger in NXT than they will/do on the main roster like what happened with Adam Rose and Emma.
They are mediocre workers, but with the right booking, like let's say interrupting Usos/Rhodes Brothers match #54645 and just laying everybody out, you make them feel important.

which would be perfect for the ascension we've all learned to love now.
but yea, outside of Rusev and Paige (kinda), who's had a good call up?
Big E? No.
Bo Dallas? No.
Emma? No
Adam Rose? No.
They basically just call up a gimmick, amplify the gimmick and do nothing else.

I think they are amazing workers as a tag team, I've really enjoyed every match I've seen them wrestle together. Neither provide anything else, and really they probably need a mouthpiece similar to Paul bearer in the beginning of undertaker career.

The tag team division is pretty stale right now so I think that gives them a boost right away.
