Drastically underutilized by CLM. Glad he salvaged his career.

I think the biggest factor was we had shite-for-QB during his entire tenure.

Let's face a few things:

- RS was not a power back
- could barely catch the ball
- apparently could not throw it either
- got nearly broke in half when he was hit in the open field.

Had he gone to a different school, a different coach, a different OC, a different QB....maybe he would of put up more 'numbers'. But ultimately, CLM made the right call putting him at receiver.

Now some of you won't get that, but to say that RS has salvaged his career despite CLM, is wrong

Although I agree with the Ops view that RS owes his NFL career to his LSU coaches, I also agree that an athlete with his speed should have been targeted to touch the ball at least 6 - 8 times per game with jet sweeps, wildcats, screens, etc. He may draw an NFL paycheck for a decade with his athleticism and willingness to give up his body. Happy for the guy.

I, for one, was glad LSU stopped bouncing footballs off his tiny, stone hands.
