Well, who knows... but in This Free Article posted on TigerBait 5 days ago, Phillips says LSU has a slight lead.

quote:

Phillips outlined his three finalists for VolQuest.com, noting LSU has a slight edge in the bid to land his services in 12 days:

LSU: LSU is always a good program. I love Coach (Brick) Haley, the d-line coach, and he's proven to be a really good. Coach (John) Chavis is one of the best defensive coordinators in the country. Coach (Les) Miles is a great coach. I just enjoy everything about LSU. They might be my leading school a little bit. They've been recruiting me really hard, and my mom, she really loves them a lot. I'm enjoy everything about LSU pretty much."

Is it really a package deal? Seems like Phillips has no reason to announce if he and Ugo are a combination deal

If it is Tennessee then I am assuming that ups our chances of getting Justin Martin?

"Package deals" are not always package deals. Speedy Noil and Gerald Willis was a package deal last year and we see how that ended. Speedy being an all sec returner at tam and Gerald Willis punching Jameis Winston

He just started following Les Miles and LSU Football along with LSU players and commits on Twitter if that means anything.

We had the#1 defense in the SEC this year. Plus all of these Nashville kids know better than anyone about Mettenburger's success in the nfl which means they know about everyone else. I think we may have the perfect storm brewing this recruiting cycle.
