Breckenridge is great for beginners because it has that big slow chairlift. Getting on and off the skilift and stopping are the hardest think for new skiers to do.

My first time was in Tahoe and it was pretty hard to master it, I'm not going to lie.
Good to hear about Breck. I haven't been skiing in 6-7 years so its going to take some getting used to again.
