I understand perfectly what a scientific theory is. It is observed circumstantial evidence that is accepted as an explanation of a phenomena. None of that equates to being a scientific fact
You hear "theory of evolution" and say, "see, just a a theory". You're missing the reality that the term "theory of evolution" refers to HOW evolution happened, not whether evolution happened. Whether it happened is most certainly FACT.

Bravo. The theory of evolution can make precise and outlandish predictions and then see those predictions proven. So in a sense, yes it has been proven.
