Interesting that solvency was not one of the factors considered. I wonder how the USPS would have performed if they had to break even much less not be a parasite on the taxpayers.

UPS and FedEx get government subsidies in the form of the interstate high way system, US federal highways, state highways and county and city roads. They also enjoy government services in air-traffic control. So the idea that UPS and FedEx are totally private and get no help from the taxpayers is false. They can also enjoy taxpayer funded courts to help settle disputes they have and tax-payer supported snow plows on roads. So once again they are also parasites.

this is definitely not my experience. In fact, the USPS flies their mail in here on commercial carriers, the same one UPS uses.

This is what makes the idiot communists so comical.

They live in some sort of unicorn land where if I can do something in 2 days for $100 and they can provide in 1.5 days for $1,000,000, they call the latter superior to the former.

The USPS does break even, and has done so for a long time. The current "parasitic" nature was forced on the USPS by the 2006 Republican Congress.
