Your deer is dead and waiting on you to come find him.
If he went down, its unlikely that you gut shot him and more likely that you hit the onside shoulder, as you should have.
He likely ran 100 - 150 yards in a fairly straight line if the terrain is flat.
Last week, I shot one presenting what sounds like an identical shot, slightly quartering to. I clipped the back of the shoulder blade, and exited at last rib. I blew both lungs and he ran 140 yards. He was probably on the ground dead before I got out of the stand. No blood.
Found him in the light the next morning, everything was fine.
