Gimmicky beers just won't take off in the craft beer world as a new brewery.
True but what craft beer world do they have in Thiodeaux ? None. They need beer that will be gimmicky and appeal to the masses.

Make a great IPA, a great stout, a great saison. Once you are established, then try your "flavored" stuff. Just my 2 cents.
Mavens make up an extremely small number of beer drinkers in the area. I spend enough time in probably the busiest tap room in the state and I can tell you the flavored style beers are the best sellers.

I agree with you. I've worked a little in the Houma/Thibodaux area and it most certainly is a BMC and Crown & Coke area. You just need something to "hook" the crowd in (such as the King Cake ale) and then introduce and educate them to IPA, Saison, and such.
Best of luck to them...it's nice to have another brewery in the state.

I agree. The king cake ale will bring in the bmc folks.
