Officer Charles Kondek, 45, was gunned down in Tarpon Springs, about 50 kilometres northwest of Tampa.

Police said Kondek was responding to a call for service around 2 a.m. ET. They say the suspect shot at the officer and then fled the scene in a vehicle and crashed into a pole and another vehicle. He was then apprehended by police at that location.

Authorities said that shooter had indicated on social media that he might seek revenge for recent U.S. police killings of unarmed black men.

Belasio's fault

Maybe this guy in Florida, took notice that the NYC mayor met with the peaceful protestors and said that he empathized with them

A white Hispanic was race-baited into killing cops? How did that happen?

Did the Tea Party's anti government rhetoric influence the cop killers in Nevada?

Pump the brakes--this article doesn't say that the Florida shooter said on social media that the killing was for revenge. This is what happens when we pull quotes out of context.

In full context:

quote:

His death followed a Saturday afternoon shooting in New York City, where a gunman shot dead two police officers and then killed himself. Authorities said that shooter had indicated on social media that he might seek revenge for recent U.S. police killings of unarmed black men.

They're obviously talking about the NYC shooter, not the Florida one.

Maybe the motive in the Florida shooting was the same, but there's no clear evidence yet that that's the case.

edit: This is also what happens when journalists aren't careful with pronouns. The writer should have said the name of the person and not just "he" so it would be clear who said the killing was for revenge.

I think every cop killed over the next year will be obama-holder-deblasios fault....kinda like every assault was the knockout game in 2013.

So basically this guy is the equivalent of that couple in Nevada that hung out at the little terrorist training camp or whatever in Nevada then killed cops in Las Vegas, only he's not actually tied directly to a group celebrated for breaking the law?
