Prayers and Positive Vibes heading your way Pepe.I imagine your Mom is in a lot of pain.

Morphine isn't the best thing for pain.Hopefully they'll keep her pain as manageable as they can.

Prayers for your mom. My grandma went through the same surgery at 95. Encourage her when she is in recovery, because walking takes practice and she'll get frustrated. I'm sure she will be fine.

She received a partial hip replacement, changed out the ball of the femur, she got out of recovery after about 2 hrs. She is in need of some sleep.....

surgery was this morning. everything went well. think it was a full hip replacement. he's laid up in the bed now. suppose to be able to put pressure on it in another day or two. recovery/rehab begins tuesday for 10 days, maybe more if needed.

Something similar happened to my grandmother. Your mother was probably better off getting the replacement. Mine got the rod and the bone never complete fused around it at her age. 1 year later and we're still dealing with the injury.

Just left my grandfather. He's in the rehabilitation complex. Doing well. Had a normal conversation like any other time. Hardest part was leaving him all alone on Christmas Eve.

No. He was going into another session of rehabilitation so I would be just waiting around until he's done. My grandmother is with my parents so it's all good. He's in good spirits so it's okay.
