Don't get me wrong, he was a huge part of our season that year. We wouldn't have made the national championship game with just Lee or just Jefferson.
We needed both. However, it wouldn't have mattered who played in the title game that year. Should Lee have gotten some playing time in that game? I think so. Would he have been successful? Almost for sure not. But I do think giving him a series couldn't have hurt with how badly we were looking.

It would almost certainly have hurt him. Not saying Les did him any favors, but had Lee played, our OL would have been responsible for a few broken ribs.
