We just built a house and picking out granite was kinda tedious. Naturally we went over our budget because once you start looking at some of the stuff and love a slab it's hard to go backwards. We didn't get into the stupid high exotics and we were able to use remnants in a lot of the bathrooms so that was nice.
I'll have to get the names when I get to work.
We used 3 of these for our kitchen, island, and butlers pantry (bar).
In our pantry we just put absolute black.
Two of these went to our master bathroom counters, closet island, and shower seat. Not around the tub...it was almost 2500 for a peice big enough with 90% cut out for the tub.
Two of these for the laundry room counter and island.
These are the remnants we used for some of the bathrooms
Outdoor kitchen I remember is called niagara leathered....looks awesome but black and leathered outside is proving to be dirty all the time we have a chipped edge on this one.
Can see the texture in this one
Color And a peak at the edge in this one.

Wow, that is a lot of granite! I can't even imagine all the decisions and choices in building from scratch.
This remodel will include our current kitchen and the den, and the laundry room and powder room. One wall of counters is 18' long with cutouts for double sink and cooktop and an 8 foot peninsula. The island will not have a granite top. There is a five foot counter in the laundry room and a tiny sink surround in the powder room.
We thought we'd be starting right after the new year, but until we get this granite/quartzite/whatever decision made, it's holding up other choices.
We aren't re-doing our two full baths at this time. If we survive stage 1 of this remodel (with sanity and any money left), there may be a stage 2 that would include the two bathrooms.
