Let her know you're interested, cut contact, and let the relationship run its course. The last thing you want to be is the douche who helped break up the relationship - same shite is just going to happen to you when she gets bored. There are way too many women out there...don't be a scumbag

quote:Very solid advice. Let her do the wanting of you. Let her do the breaking up with him. Don't be the one who could get the blame for it, if/when she gets buyer's remorse (even if it's just temporary). Don't be a jerk, but let some time/distance happen between encounters with her. Be a man of mystery to her, instead of a handy crying towel. And meanwhile, keep your eyes and your options open - plenty of other talent out there. In fact, even if just a mild interest, pursue that (and subtle as possible, let girl #1 with a boyfriend know there is somebody else/new on your horizon beside her - the likelihood is girl #1 already knows of your interest in her anyway - girls have a real keen sixth sense about those kinds of things). Then, if girl #2 amounts to nothing, nothing is lost. OTOH, she might wind up being the real deal - then you stand to gain. And perhaps then you even get to choose between what's behind girl #1 or girl #2. Because the other likelihood is girl #1 already knows how she feels about you - and with a rival on the field, can decide to compete for you if she wants, or not.
