Grimes couldn't take out McConnell, so now she's aiming for Paul. She believes that since Kentucky's state legislature won't pass an LBJ law, she can unseat him if he tries to run for President.
Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Who is advising her?
She made a mistake trying to unseat McConnell this past cycle and got trounced. The Dems who had a real shot to unseat McConnell (Beshear, Conway, Abramson) all knew that 2014 would be a tough year for Dems and decided to bide their time.
Now she is taking aim at a guy who is hugely popular in the state and will be a lock to win again.
Dems can win state-wide races in Kentucky. Just not her.

She got hammered by one of the most odious incumbents out there (other than Cochran). After that embarrassment, she honestly thinks she has a shot against a non-offense Republican for an open seat?

Good, let her and the Democrats waste their time and Money.

I agree.
She is trying too hard. It's unbecoming.

And that's significant. Rand Paul probably has more crossover appeal than anybody on Capitol Hill.

She seems desperate. I'm sure she could land a gig at MSNBC she should go do that and be happy with it.

Maybe so but linked article says nothing of the sort
Won't she have to run for reelection before she tries to run for Senate again?

Someone who is as bad a campaigner as Grimes would have a tough time winning an open seat, let alone beating Paul.
She couldn't say whether she voted for Obama despite serving on the slate of Dem delegates for him in 2012, meaning she would have cast a vote in the electoral college for him if he had won the state.
Tons of amateur level mistakes by her that put her far closer to Abortion Barbie than winning a statewide race with national implications.

After the imbecilic race she ran against McConnell the GOP should welcome her entrance into the next senatorial race.

She's held a firearm - MSNBC doesn't want mentally ill, "gun addicts" on their network.

She can pull a Scott Brown and pick another state. At least she has nicer hair
