Not buying this. The threat of violence was not the issue for Sony, but they will use it as the excuse.

Sony knows what data they still have, and that scares them much more than idle threats of violence. Real threats to release data is why Sony caved.

ETA: And I'd bet a years salary that the hacked data is released anyway.

I can't believe they caved like this

All this will do is embolden other hackers to carry out similar attacks.
