also probably lost in all this is the service academies.
i don't necessarily think their coaches are wizards but it shows the type of young man you recruit does matter. i would think on average their players have a higher character/discipline level/work ethic.
and that translates into some W's above where their talent level is.
while Miles seems to get all the blame and his assistants get the credit it's still the players that play the game.
