Seems like the 24 hr restriction would need to be a must. If not it will turn into a daycare where parents just drop their kid off during the summer and leave them there all day.
People do that already.
MoviePass started with the assumption that the majority of their users would underuse the product. To be honest, there are weekends where you hit the wall and you've seen everything that you want to see. But if you live in New York City or L.A., you have a much wider range of films and you could easily see a movie every night of the month if you wanted to.
So they cut it back to "every 24 hours" and put an annoying countdown clock on the app just to frick with you. They gave users the option to cancel they're annual contracts.
The main problem with the 24 hour deal is that I can't see a movie on a Friday night and then another on a Saturday afternoon.

I would sign up maybe in the Summer and let it ride until the Fall then just cancel.
They only do annual contracts. They'll keep billing you.

I guess I would still be down with this.

theatergoers can see one movie per day
This would be the deal breaker if I were to consider it. Not that I have time to sit through 2 or 3 movies in one day anymore, but I do have the occasional day that I do.

If it included all the popcorn/snacks/drinks you wanted, then the deal would be legit.
No shite it would be legit
College kids would be eating movie theater pizza and chicken tenders daily.
I'll settle for one medium popcorn + drink a day though.

Technically you're only supposed to see one movie per 24 hours and each movie only once
WTF.
Each movie only once is a bullshite deal breaker for a plan like this with how expensive it is. It's trying to stack the deck on how under utilized it is.

I see I maybe alone on this, but I would easily take that $35/month deal. I rarely go to the movies, not because I don't like the movies, but rather because the movies are simply too expensive. At my theater, tickets are 11.50. If you want popcorn and a drink, that's another $9.00. I only go to the theaters for that must-see cant-miss movie that i've been waiting on the release for months and months. But If I had this deal I could easily find 1-2 movies to watch every weekend and make my money's worth.

I usually go 2 or 3 times a month so sure why not. For my fiancee and i to go is easily $30 every time. Cheap mofos in here.

I'd buy a 3 month plan for Oct 15th through Jan 15th...

In Boston and Denver, I am sure they get a lot of the indie "select theater" movies that I would like to see. So yes, I would seriously consider it living in a major city with a much greater variety of movies.
Where I live, not a chance in hell I would pony up 35 a month to see 1 or 2 movies each month. Not even sure if I would pay that if it included unlimited popcorn and soda pop.
