Government should not be funding these things. Lol at thinking of me as trailer trash simply because I hate paying taxes. I have a masters degree and am one of the most erudite individuals you would ever meet. I am going to call BS on this. Of course you seem to believe that a Masters degree sets you on some distinctive level too. 
But OK. You are not "trailer park" trash, technically speaking.
I hope there aren't really people who think like that.

There are quite a few of us. Most of my close friends. We are mostly libertarian.
