I would add a system of walking and biking recreation trails throughout the city that would run primarily along Dawson's Creek, Ward's Creek, and Bayou Duplantier that would connect the LSU Lakes, Mall of Louisiana, Santa Maria Golf Course, Manchac Park, the levee bike path, and somehow Town Center.

It would have one trail that would be all paved and well lit, connecting all of these areas (resembling the Tammany Trace) as well as a rougher off-road bike trail along one stretch that would be just dirt.

This is pretty much part of BRECs Imagine Your Parks 2 initiative. Hopefully in ten years we will have something that resembles this.
