I can't imagine anything worse than being in your 40s and trying to have a conversation with someone under 25. Even a brief conversation. Most of the girls I know that are that age are as vapid and clueless as my (now deceased) bloodhound.

Depends on a lot of things.
I have 40+ aged friends who aren't losers/immature and we get along fine.
I seem to get along fine with most people on this message board.
I will agree that the younger you date, regardless of maturity, you increase the chances of that person growing up and growing far away from you. She may be a carefree drama-less chick. But if she's really young, there's a good chance she discovers new people/things and leaves you.

My ex girlfriend was six years older than me. We dated in college.
She turns around at age 28 and marries a man who is 18 years older than her. He and her have been married 21 years. He is a good man.
I'm 47. Probably should stop trying to pick up on 25 year olds like Raymond Carver. Hard to believe that 25 years ago , these 20 something women were the bomb. Nowadays these women are immature and clueless. A nice arse never hurts though. A sugar daddy I am not.
