This isn't true. NO frickING WAY. I'm calling this as made up bullshite that somehow hit the news.
ETA: He can't legally even have a brokerage account. If he had his parents somehow get him one, he has to get every trade approved by them. And on top of the massive numbers I'm calling BS. No way this kid did this from a phone on his lunch break at high school.

It does sound rather implausible. However, Warren Buffet was making bank at an early age (not 17).
