Because marriage is no longer seen as a prerequisite to having children. Parents living in seperate homes leads to less time spent with children, especially on the man's part. It begins to feel like abandonment and some believe that has to do with them as a person. Self confidence, sense of self goes to hell.

I fully believe in daddy issues. It seriously fricks up some otherwise incredible girls. It's sad.

It is more than just that. Not every girl who has daddy issues didnt have a father in the home.

And it isnt as cut and dry as the dad abandoning her. You realize how hard it is for any father to get custody of the kids? Let alone seeing them for more than a weekend.
