His first 3 Years, Jimbo was still hear with the Kids he and Satan recruited. 21 out of the 22 players that started in the NCG was Sabans. Flynn developed by fisher. ALL Miles has to show for being at LSU is 1 SEC Championship, that Winning record he has is padded by Saban and Jimbo recruits in miles first 3 years. Still has a good record but has underachieved every year since he's been here. Not once has LSU's production reflected their talent level. Look at the NFL Rosters you would think LSU has won the last 5 out of 7 National Championships
So what youre saying is saban only has 2 sec titles and 1 natty with HIS PLAYERS.
I hate our ignorant fan base.

Hudspeth has a better winning percentage than Miles as a college coach.
Also, Hudspeth's conference winning percentage at Louisiana-Lafayette is better than Miles' conference winning percentage at LSU.
Only difference is one of the above mentioned coach is coaching in the minor leagues.

good points and bad points
Yes, I have in the past
He walked into a loaded team and had a better year than 4 of the previous coaches' 5 seasons. He did it all while navigating through the Katrina/Rita issue. What he did in 2005 to have the team playing the way it did is commendable and deserves to be recognized as a damn good coaching job, because the wheels could've come off that season in a hurry.
possibly true, but I hope you are wrong
I almost stopped reading after I saw this. This statement makes this rant laughable. Hudspeth can't win a the sunbelt with a team with better talent and experience. If our new standard is the NC, then let's at least not try to prop up the guy who can't win the Sunbelt Conference.
It has been proven that no one in CFB right now can, so if your argument to kick CLM is that he can't match Saban, then you will not have a football coach on your sideline until Saban retires. He's is the best in the game and will be one of cfb's all-time top 5 coaches ever. Funny thing is, CLM is the one coach who has a few wins over Saban.
Agree fully. He did nothing this year to earn a raise or extension and fear shouldn't be a factor in making the decision to give him one. He needs to earn it before he gets another year on the contract or money in his pocket.

Which means that he isn't working with the personnel talent that Miles is working with.

Also, he isn't working against the personnel or talent of the SEC. Big difference in the talent in these two conferences.

Yes, that's correct. And obvious.

Miles has a better win% while playing in the west than Hudspeth does in the Sun belt. Youre stupid if you think he is better than Miles.

According to 247 and Rivals, from 2008-2014, LSU has averaged a higher conference recruiting ranking in the SEC than Louisiana-Lafayette has averaged in the SBC. When you extend LSU's class average back to 2002, LSU again has a higher average class ranking.

Not to take away from your rant, but he did beat Oklahoma 2 times while at State, and I believe he got them back to a bowl after a long long drought of losing seasons. Note I am no Miles lover by any stretch of the imagination.
Records at ok state while he was coach
2001 4-7
2002 8-5 Houston Bowl Win
2003 9-4 Cotton Bowl Loss
2004 7-5 Alamo Bowl Loss
OK State Record for years before he was coach.
2000 3-8 1994 3-7-1 1988 10-2
1999 5-6 1993 3-8 1987 10-2
1998 5-6 1992 4-6-1
1997 8-4 1991 0-10-1
1996 5-6 1990 4-7

Well stated, if he wants to flirt with UM - Alleva should let him go so we can move on with our team. Alleva has allowed himself to be backdoor'ed on several occasions and not just with Miles.
I wouldn't be happy if he left, but it would be an exciting time. Plus, to reshape UM in the time that Miles has left to coach (he's 61 or so) and to even attempt to steal Meyer's recruits which he has on-lock would be an uphill battle I'm not so sure he's ready to take.

In four years at Oklahoma St., Miles won 16 conference games. In the four years prior to Miles, OSU won 12 conference games. A modest improvement.
With Miles, the Cowboys finished every season unranked. OSU had one top-25 finish in the four years prior to Miles.
Among current SEC coaches, Miles ranks #5 in winning percentage vs. SEC Opponents.

Mile has a top 5 win % in sec history(100 games coached). Youre using win% of teams that have been in the sec for 3 years and Malzahn. Stop reaching

I'm using current SEC coaches, alter.
You're reaching by trying to arbitrarily exclude Urban Meyer. A coach who exceeded Miles in championships in 4 less years in the SEC.

Just out of curiosity, who was the the OC at OSU in the year they were ranked in the top 25?

The 1997 team that was ranked #14 in Total Defense, and #51 in Total Offense? That OC was Les Miles.
